Current Public-Health Related Activities

Tatiane Santos is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and the Wharton School and adjunct faculty at the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Santos’s research has focused on evaluating the impact of provisions from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on population health outcomes, health care utilization, and costs. She is primarily interested in public health services and systems research related to delivery and reimbursement innovations that encourage institutions in the health care and governmental public health sectors to align efforts to improve population health. She is the principal investigator of a study of alternative payment models for primary care transformation and behavioral health integration. She is also the PI of a study of nonprofit hospital and local health department collaboration in local health planning to address the drug epidemic and other population health priorities. On the practice side, she is a core member of the Colorado School of Public Health COVID-19 Modeling Team led by Dean Jonathan Samet, focusing her efforts on developing the Colorado Population Data Dashboard to help decision-makers make data-driven decisions.
